Virginia Bassano is a Vice President at Eight Roads, a global venture capital firm with $11 billion in assets under management and offices across London, the US, and Asia. She focuses on venture and growth-stage investments of $10–30 million, with a particular interest in B2B SaaS, FinTech, and TravelTech, as well as high-potential companies in Southern Europe and the UK. At Eight Roads she invested in Amenitiz (All in one PMS for independent hoteliers), Easol (Vertical SaaS for experience creators) and Swan (Embedded finance provider). 

Virginia joined Eight Roads in 2021 after three years at Citigroup, where she was part of the Investment Banking team covering the FinTech sector. Prior to that, in 2018, she co-founded Dailyinternship, an HR-tech startup that leveraged a proprietary matching algorithm to connect students with internships and entry-level roles based on preferences and company needs. The platform grew to over 100,000 registered students and 300 client companies across Europe, and was exited to another HR tech player in 2021.
